BP 30 S

PVC starter profiles for the base (plinth) area with drip edge and mesh

Contact us

APPLICATION

They allow the creation of a starter channel in facade insulation systems for polystyrene or mineral wool panels.

CHARACTERISTICS

PROPERTIES

  • PVC base starter profiles for the plinth area serve as the lower support for starting the installation of insulation panels (EPS or mineral wool) on the facade.
  • The “starter channel” profile design facilitates the horizontal alignment of the first row of insulation boards.
  • It is recommended when the facade insulation layer significantly overhangs the foundation insulation, or when the insulation height of the below-ground section (plinth wall) is substantial and a clean, even lower finish is required.

INSTALLATION

PVC starter profiles are fixed to the wall using steel screws.

They must be installed perfectly level and on the same plane. For this purpose, the use of Bella Plast mounting spacers is recommended.

  • BPD3 (3 mm)
  • BPD5 (5 mm)
  • BPD10 (10 mm)

BP30 S profiles feature a fiberglass mesh integrated into the PVC body by ultrasonic welding.

This mesh must be covered by the façade reinforcement mesh, with an overlap from above, and ideally both meshes should be embedded in a single adhesive application.

The profiles consist of two elements:

  1. The base, fixed to the wall.
  2. The movable part, which fits into the base.

Selecting the appropriate width of the movable part allows the desired final width of the starter profile to be achieved (see manufacturer’s dimension table).
